Download Availability

SwipePoint is available worldwide on the App Store and Google Play. Users in every country and region can download and install it directly.

If SwipePoint temporarily does not appear because your store account or region information has not refreshed, use the steps below to review or change the store region. Taiwan is used as the example.

Change the App Store Country or Region to Taiwan

If SwipePoint is already available in your current region, you do not need to change it. Before making a change, spend any remaining Apple Account balance, resolve subscriptions that prevent the change, and make sure Family Sharing does not restrict the account. Apple may also require a valid payment method for Taiwan.

  1. Open your account settings:

    • Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, then tap your name.
  2. Open Media & Purchases:

    • Tap Media & Purchases, then tap View Account.
  3. Open the country or region settings:

    • Tap Country/Region, then tap Change Country or Region.
  4. Select Taiwan and accept the terms:

    • Select Taiwan, review the terms and conditions, and accept them.
  5. Enter payment information:

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to select a payment method and enter valid payment information and a genuine billing address. Then tap Next.

If Apple requires a Taiwan payment method and you cannot provide one, do not enter a false address. See Apple's instructions about creating a new Apple Account after you are physically in the new country or region.

Change the Google Play Country or Region to Taiwan

If SwipePoint is already available in your current region, you do not need to change it. To set Taiwan as your Play country, you must be in Taiwan and have a payment method from Taiwan. Members of a Google family group cannot change their Play country. After setting or changing the country, you must wait at least 90 days before changing it again.

  1. Open Google Play settings:

    • Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Open the country and profiles settings:

    • Tap Settings > General > Account and device preferences > Country and profiles.
  3. Select Taiwan:

    • Select Taiwan from the list of countries and regions.
  4. Add a payment method:

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to add a payment method for Taiwan.
  5. Wait for the profile to update:

    • Your Google Play profile may take up to 48 hours to update. When the update is complete, return to Google Play and search for SwipePoint.

Switch Phones, Tablets, or Computers

If an administrator switches to a new phone, tablet, or computer, sign in on the new device with the same account.

The same account can currently be used on an unlimited number of phones, tablets, and computers.

Software Updates

To keep improving the service, maintain data consistency, and provide a better experience, SwipePoint may require all users to update before continuing. If an administrator receives an update notice but the store does not show an update option, use the following troubleshooting steps.

Clear the Google Play Store Cache on Android

Clearing the Google Play Store cache can fix update information that is out of sync.

1. Open Settings

Find and open Settings on the phone.

2. Open Apps or App Management

The name varies by device manufacturer. This section is normally where you manage installed apps.

3. Find Google Play Store

Find Google Play Store in the app list and open it.

4. Open Storage or Storage & Cache

This page shows the app's storage usage.

5. Clear the Cache

Tap Clear cache. This removes temporary data without affecting the administrator's personal information or app settings.

6. Clear Storage or Data if Necessary

If clearing the cache does not solve the problem, consider clearing the app's storage or data. This resets the Google Play Store and may require the administrator to sign in to their Google Account again.

7. Reopen the Google Play Store

Open the Google Play Store again and check whether the update appears.

8. Restart the Phone if Necessary

If the issue continues, restart the phone and check the Play Store again.

These steps usually resolve cases where SwipePoint requires an update but the Google Play Store does not display it.

Apple (iOS) Update and Download Issues

The App Store does not offer a manual cache-clearing option. If SwipePoint requires an update but the App Store does not show the Update button, try the following methods in order.

Update SwipePoint Manually

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap the account button or your profile photo at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap App Updates, then tap Update next to SwipePoint. You can also tap Update All.

If the Update Still Does Not Appear or the App Will Not Download

  1. Make sure the iPhone has a stable Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
  2. Restart the iPhone, then return to the App Store and check again.
  3. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available iOS update.
  4. If the download is stalled, touch and hold the SwipePoint icon on the Home Screen, then tap Prioritize Download if that option appears.
  5. If Apple asks you to verify a payment method, follow the on-screen instructions. A valid payment method may be required even for a free app.

Do not sign out of your Apple Account merely to refresh the App Store. If you still cannot update the app, see Apple: How to manually update apps and Apple: If you cannot download or update apps.

Why SwipePoint Cannot Be Installed on an Android Phone

Several issues can prevent SwipePoint from installing on Android. The most common causes and solutions are listed below.

The Android Version Is Too Old

SwipePoint requires Android 10 or later. Try updating the phone through its software update settings. On many devices, you can check the version under Settings > About phone > Software information > Android version.

The Google Play Store Is Out of Date

You can usually check the Play Store version under Google Play Store > profile icon > Settings > About > Play Store version. Tap Update Play Store if the option is available.

The Device Is Rooted or Is Not Play Protect Certified

Open the Google Play Store and tap the profile icon, then select Settings > About and check Play Protect certification. A rooted or modified device, or one that is not certified, may be unable to download or run SwipePoint correctly. Update Android and its system components first. If necessary, restore the manufacturer's original software or factory settings and contact the device manufacturer. If the device still is not certified, use a certified device that meets SwipePoint's system requirements.

Google Help: Check and fix Play Protect certification status

The Device or System Is Incompatible

Google Play evaluates compatibility based on the Android version, device hardware, SwipePoint's store settings, and device status. Missing features such as GPS or Bluetooth may limit some functions, but do not necessarily prevent every such device from downloading the app. Use the compatibility message on SwipePoint's Google Play page as the authoritative result, and make sure the device runs a supported Android version.

Google Play or Region Settings Are Restricted

Installation depends on whether the device supports Google Play, its Play country or region, Play Protect certification, and device compatibility. The country where the phone was purchased is not enough to determine availability. Review each item in the next checklist.

The Android Phone Has No Google Play or Shows “Not Compatible”

If the phone does not have the Google Play Store, or Google Play says SwipePoint is incompatible with the device, check the following items in order:

  1. Confirm that the device supports Google Play:

    • Look for the Google Play Store in the device's app list. If it is missing, first confirm that it has not been disabled. If you still cannot find it, contact your mobile carrier or device manufacturer.
  2. Confirm device and system compatibility:

    • Review the compatibility message on SwipePoint's Google Play page and make sure the device has been updated to a supported Android version.
  3. Check Play Protect certification:

    • Open the Google Play Store, then tap the profile icon, Settings, and About. Check Play Protect certification. An uncertified device may not be able to download or run apps correctly.
  4. Do not install APK files from unknown websites:

    • Transferring the app from another device does not change compatibility or certification. Use a device that supports Google Play and meets SwipePoint's system requirements.

SwipePoint Appears in Google Play but Will Not Download

If you can find SwipePoint in the Google Play Store but cannot download it, try these steps in order. Try the download again after each step.

  1. Check the network and storage space:

    • Make sure the Wi-Fi or cellular connection is stable and that the device has enough free storage space.
  2. Restart and update the device:

    • Restart the phone and install any available Android system updates.
  3. Clear the Google Play Store cache and data:

    • Touch and hold Google Play Store on the Home screen or in the app list. Tap App info > Storage & cache > Clear cache. If the app still will not download, tap Clear storage or Clear data. Menu names may differ slightly by manufacturer.
  4. Install from the Google Play website:

    • Go to the Google Play website, sign in with the same Google Account used on the phone, search for “SwipePoint,” select Install, choose a compatible phone, and select Install again.
