Overtime

Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock In > Overtime

Users (employees) can tap Clock In on the Clock-In Mode home page, then select Overtime to clock in for overtime.

Send My GPS Location

The clock-in point settings determine whether users (employees) must send their GPS location or may choose whether to send it.

If this option cannot be turned off, an administrator has made location submission mandatory.

Remarks

Enter any information that should be included with the clock-in record.

Select a Clock-In Point

Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock In > Overtime > Clock-In Point

Users (employees) can select the location where they want to clock in.

Skip

If Skip appears, the organization allows users to clock in without selecting a clock-in point.

Skip can be disabled in Management Mode > Organization > My Organization. After it is disabled, users (employees) must select a clock-in point before clocking in.

Start or End Work

Overtime

Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock In > Overtime > Clock-In Point > Start Work/End Work

On the clock-in page, select Overtime. Tap Start Work to begin overtime, or End Work to finish overtime.

After clocking in, the record can be viewed under All Clock-In Records. Use Regular Shift for normal work hours. If overtime begins after a regular shift, finish the regular-shift clock-in process, then select Overtime and clock in separately. This allows the system to distinguish regular hours from overtime and prevents errors in work-hour and payroll calculations.

If an administrator has enabled Require Overtime Application, users (employees) must first submit an application from Home > Clock-In Mode > My Applications > Overtime Application. Enter the overtime date, time, and reason, then submit it. After approval, users may clock in for overtime only during the approved period or the grace period configured by the administrator.

Important Note

Reminder: If users (employees) have not read the announcements, policies, or goals, or have not tapped I Agree for a policy or goal, the system will prompt them again when they tap End Work. This ensures that the information has been communicated and acknowledged.

Start/End Button Display Rules

SwipePoint remembers whether a user's (employee's) last action was Start Work or End Work. This maintains the expected sequence: after starting work, the next action should normally be ending work.

If a missed or incorrect clock-in causes SwipePoint to show the wrong action, follow these steps:

Open Clock-In Mode, tap Clock In, and then tap Overtime. On the page showing Start Work or End Work, tap More, then select the work status that matches your current situation to correct the clock-in status.

Clock-In Push Notifications

When a user clocks in, the system automatically sends a push notification to the relevant people. Notifications are sent immediately to the creator, the highest-level administrator, and other administrators in the same group so they can monitor clock-in activity.

Clock-In Notification Recipients

The system sends clock-in push notifications to:

No. Recipient
1 Creator
2 Highest-Level Administrator
3 Administrators in the Same Group

Overtime Application

Home > Clock-In Mode > My Applications > Overtime Application

Users (employees) can select My Applications from the Clock-In Mode home page, then select Overtime Application. One or more overtime applications can be submitted at the same time. After submission, wait for a reviewer to approve them.

If this feature is not displayed, an administrator has disabled it.

Important: Overtime applications are not currently integrated with the schedule, so approved overtime records do not appear on the schedule. If an administrator has enabled Require Overtime Application, users (employees) must obtain approval before clocking in for overtime and may clock in only during the approved period or allowed grace period. If it is not enabled, users may clock in first and submit the application afterward, or follow their company's policy.

Cancel an Overtime Application

Home > Clock-In Mode > My Applications > Overtime Application > Overtime Application Records

From the Clock-In Mode home page, select My Applications, select Overtime Application, then select an overtime application record. Users (employees) can cancel an application that has been submitted but has not yet been reviewed.

How Overtime Is Determined

SwipePoint cannot determine overtime automatically. Users (employees) must explicitly select the Overtime clock-in mode in the app so that the period is recorded as overtime:

  1. Complete the regular-shift clock-in and clock-out for the day.
  2. If overtime is required, return to the Clock-In Mode home page and tap Clock In.
  3. Select Overtime.
  4. Depending on the administrator's settings, send your GPS location or select a clock-in point.
  5. Tap Start Work to begin overtime.
  6. When overtime ends, tap End Work to complete the clock-in record.

If these steps are not followed, the system cannot identify the period as overtime, which may affect attendance records and payroll calculations.

Overtime can also be submitted for review through Overtime Application. If an administrator has not enabled Require Overtime Application, the application may be submitted before or after the overtime clock-in. If it is enabled, approval must be obtained before clocking in for overtime.
