Upgrade Plans

Upgrading means switching from a lower-tier to a higher-tier subscription plan.

Examples:

  1. Upgrading from a Personal Plan to an Organization Plan.
  2. Increasing storage space within an Organization Plan.
  3. Upgrading from a shorter billing cycle (e.g., monthly) to a longer billing cycle (e.g., annual).

Effective Date

Upgrading to a higher-tier plan takes effect immediately.

Cost Calculation

  • You will be charged for the remaining days at the new plan’s rate.
  • The billing cycle remains unchanged.

Example

  • Suppose you subscribe to the Personal Ad-Free Monthly Plan (NT$30) on July 1 and upgrade to the Organization Ad-Free Monthly Plan (NT$300) on July 15.
  • You will be charged for the remaining 15 days of the Organization Monthly Plan:
    NT$300 / 30 days × 15 days = NT$150.
  • The next billing date remains August 1.

Downgrade Plans

Downgrading means switching from a higher-tier to a lower-tier subscription plan.

Examples:

  1. Downgrading from an Organization Plan to a Personal Plan.
  2. Reducing storage space within an Organization Plan.
  3. Downgrading from a longer billing cycle (e.g., annual) to a shorter billing cycle (e.g., monthly).

Effective Date

The downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Cost Calculation

The new plan’s charges will begin in the next billing cycle.

Example

  • Suppose you subscribe to the Organization Ad-Free Annual Plan (NT$3,300) on July 1 and downgrade to the Personal Ad-Free Monthly Plan (NT$30) on July 15.
  • Your Organization Annual Plan remains active until July 1 of the following year.
  • Starting from July 1 of the following year, you will be charged NT$30 per month for the Personal Monthly Plan.

Same-Tier Plan Switching

This refers to changing the billing cycle within the same subscription tier, such as switching from the Organization Annual Plan to the Organization Monthly Plan, or from the Personal Monthly Plan to the Personal Annual Plan.

Example: Switching from Organization Annual Plan to Organization Monthly Plan.

Effective Date

The new plan takes effect after the current billing cycle ends.

  • Suppose you subscribe to the Organization Ad-Free Annual Plan on July 1 and request to switch to the Organization Ad-Free Monthly Plan on July 15.
  • Your Organization Annual Plan remains active until July 1 of the following year.
  • From July 1 of the following year, the Organization Monthly Plan begins.

Cost Calculation

  • The new plan’s charges begin in the next billing cycle.
  • From July 1 of the following year, you will be charged the Organization Monthly Plan rate.

New Billing Cycle

  • The new billing cycle starts from the new plan’s effective date.
  • In this example, the new billing cycle starts on July 1 of the following year.
