Users (employees) can tap the "Clock-In" button on the "Home" page under "Clock-In Mode" to enter the clock-in page. The clock-in process includes: tapping the clock-in button, selecting the clock-in type (Regular Shift or Overtime), selecting a shift if clocking in for a Regular Shift, choosing a clock-in location, and finally tapping "Start Work" or "End Work" to complete the clock-in.

When clocking in for overtime, selecting a shift is not required.


Enable GPS Location on Mobile Phones

To enable GPS location on a mobile phone, users (employees) should follow these steps:

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open Settings:
    Go to the home screen and tap the "Settings" icon.
  2. Find Privacy:
    Scroll down in the Settings menu and tap "Privacy & Security".
  3. Select Location Services:
    Tap "Location Services" and confirm it is enabled. If not, turn it on.
  4. Select SwipePoint App:
    Scroll down, locate the SwipePoint App, and tap it to adjust settings.
  5. Set Location Permission:
    Choose "While Using the App" or "Always" to grant GPS permission.

Android

  1. Open Settings:
    From the home screen or app drawer, tap the "Settings" icon.
  2. Select Location:
    Scroll down and tap "Location" or "Privacy".
  3. Enable Location Services:
    Confirm "Location" services are enabled; if not, activate it.
  4. Manage App Permissions:
    Tap "App Permissions" or "Location Permissions".
  5. Select SwipePoint App:
    Find the SwipePoint App in the list and tap it.
  6. Set Location Permission:
    Choose "While Using the App" or "Always" to grant GPS permission.

These steps ensure GPS location functionality is operational. Some Android phones may provide an option to enable high-accuracy mode to enhance positioning precision.


Enable Bluetooth on Mobile Phones

To enable Bluetooth functionality for the SwipePoint App, users (employees) should follow these steps:

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open Settings:
    From the home screen, enter "Settings".
  2. Select Bluetooth:
    Tap "Bluetooth" in the settings menu.
  3. Turn Bluetooth On:
    Ensure Bluetooth is turned on (green).
  4. Allow App to Use Bluetooth:
    For iOS 13 and above, permission will be requested when the SwipePoint App first uses Bluetooth. Select "Allow". Alternatively, manage manually via "Settings" → "Privacy" → "Bluetooth".

Android

  1. Open Settings:
    From the home screen or app drawer, tap the "Settings" icon.
  2. Select Bluetooth:
    Tap "Connected Devices" or "Bluetooth".
  3. Enable Bluetooth:
    Turn Bluetooth on.
  4. Allow App to Use Bluetooth:
    Android generally doesn't prompt explicitly; ensure SwipePoint has necessary permissions (e.g., "Location" permission, as some Bluetooth functions require this).

Users (employees) can now use Bluetooth functionality within the SwipePoint App. If pairing specific Bluetooth devices is needed, perform pairing via the Bluetooth settings page.


Enable Precise Location on Mobile Phones

When connected to Wi-Fi, if the clock-in point's Wi-Fi SSID isn't showing, users (employees) may have precise location disabled on their phones.

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Go to "Settings" > "SwipePoint" > "Location".
  2. Enable "Precise Location".

Android

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Apps" > "SwipePoint" > "Permissions" > "Location".
  2. Enable "Use precise location".

Wi-Fi Clock-In but SSID Not Showing

If users (employees) are using restricted Wi-Fi points to clock-in, but encounter a red cross or the message "Please connect to the Wi-Fi clock-in point," resolve as follows:

Android

  1. Open phone "Settings".
  2. Tap "Apps".
  3. Tap "SwipePoint".
  4. Tap "Permissions".
  5. Tap "Location permission".
  6. Enable "Use precise location".

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open phone "Settings".
  2. Tap "SwipePoint".
  3. Tap "Location".
  4. Enable "Precise Location".

Computer Clock-In

SwipePoint supports clock-in via computers. Users (employees) can use Apple iMac/Mac mini or MacBook laptops. Supported methods include:

  • Button clock-in
  • Fixed QR code scanning
  • Dynamic QR code scanning
  • GPS-restricted clock-in
  • Bluetooth-restricted clock-in
  • Wi-Fi-restricted clock-in

To enable location services on MacOS computers, follow these steps:

  1. Click "SwipePoint" on the upper-left corner, then click "Settings".
  2. In the settings page, click "Open System Settings" under "Location Services".
  3. In the Location Services settings, enable "Location Services".
  4. Find and enable "SwipePoint" in the app list.

Currently, SwipePoint doesn't support clock-in via Microsoft Windows PCs. Users (employees) are advised to use mobile phones or Apple Mac computers instead.


Regular Shift or Overtime

Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock-In > Regular Shift/Overtime

Users (employees) can select "Regular Shift" or "Overtime" when clocking in.

Send My GPS Location

Depending on clock-in point settings, users may either be forced to send their GPS location or be allowed to choose whether to share it.

If users (employees) can't disable this option, the administrator has set GPS location transmission as mandatory.

Selecting a Shift

Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock-In > Regular Shift > Shift

Users (employees) can select today's shifts for clock-in, based on the schedule.

Show Cross-Day Shifts

Tap "Show Cross-Day" to see yesterday's shifts, suitable for overnight work.

Photo

Tap "Take Photo" to follow prompts for capturing and uploading photos to cloud storage automatically.

A Premium "Storage Space" subscription must be activated first by the organization creator.

Skip

If "Skip" appears, the organization allows users to clock-in without choosing a shift, or the user has no scheduled shift.

The "Skip" option can be disabled in Management Mode > Organization > My Organization. Once disabled, shift selection is mandatory.


Selecting a Clock-In Point

Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock-In > Regular Shift > Shift > Clock-In Point

Users (employees) can select their desired clock-in location.

Skip

If "Skip" appears, the organization allows users to clock-in without selecting a location.

The "Skip" option can be disabled in Management Mode > Organization > My Organization. Once disabled, selecting a clock-in point is mandatory.


Start or End Work

Users (employees) tap "Start Work" for clock-in and "End Work" for clock-out.

  • Regular Shift: Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock-In > Regular Shift > Shift > Clock-In Point > Start/End Work
  • Overtime: Home > Clock-In Mode > Clock-In > Overtime > Clock-In Point > Start/End Work

Completed clock-ins are viewable in "All Clock-In Records".

Reminders

Reminder: If users haven't read announcements, rules, or objectives or haven't agreed by pressing "I Agree," the system will prompt again upon pressing "End Work".
