Clock-in Button

Clock-in Mode > Clock-in

Staff can clock in by clicking this button. The process is as follows:

1 Click the clock-in button
2 Choose the clock-in category (Regular Shift/Overtime)
3 Choose a shift (for regular shifts)
4 Choose the clock-in location
5 Click "Start Work" or "End Work" to complete the clock-in

When clocking in for overtime, selecting a shift is not required.


Regular Shift / Overtime

Clock-in Mode > Clock-in > Regular Shift/Overtime

Here, you can choose to clock in for a regular shift or overtime.

Send My GPS Location

Depending on the clock-in point settings, the system will either force the sending of the GPS location or allow the user to choose whether to send the location.

If you cannot turn it off, it means the administrator has set it to be mandatory.

Remarks

This section is for entering any clock-in related information that needs to be recorded.


Choose Shift

Clock-in Mode > Clock-in > Regular Shift > Shift

Choose from today's shifts based on the schedule.

Show Overnight Shifts

Click "Show Overnight" to view yesterday's shifts. This feature is suitable for staff working overnight shifts.

Photo

Click "Click Here to Take Photo" and follow the instructions to take a photo. The photo will be automatically uploaded to the cloud for storage.

Before using this feature, the organization creator must subscribe to the Premium "Storage" plan to enable cloud storage for uploading photos.

Skip

If "Skip" appears, it means the organization allows staff not to select a shift, or the staff member does not have a shift schedule.

The "Skip" feature can be disabled in Admin Mode > Organization > My Organization. Once disabled, staff must select a shift before they can clock in.


Choose Clock-in Location

Clock-in Mode > Clock-in > Regular Shift/Overtime > Shift > Clock-in Location

Choose the location where you want to clock in.

Skip

If "Skip" appears, it means the organization allows staff not to choose a clock-in location.

The "Skip" feature can be disabled in Admin Mode > Organization > My Organization. Once disabled, staff must select a clock-in location before they can clock in.


Start Work / End Work

Regular Shift

Clock-in Mode > Clock-in > Regular Shift > Shift > Clock-in Location > Start Work/End Work

Click "Start Work" to clock in for the regular shift, or click "End Work" to clock out.

After completing the clock-in, you can view it in My Clock-in Records.

Overtime

Clock-in Mode > Clock-in > Overtime > Clock-in Location > Start Work/End Work

Click "Start Work" to clock in for overtime, or click "End Work" to clock out from overtime.

After completing the clock-in, you can view it in My Clock-in Records.

Notes

Reminder: If the employee has not read the announcements, policies, or objectives, or has not clicked I Agree on the policies or objectives, the system will prompt them again when clicking End Work to ensure that the announcements, policies, and objectives are communicated clearly and confirmed.


Enable GPS Location

To enable GPS location on your phone, please follow these steps:

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open Settings:
    Go to the home screen and tap the "Settings" icon.
  2. Find Privacy:
    In the Settings menu, scroll down and tap "Privacy & Security."
  3. Select Location Services:
    Tap "Location Services" and make sure it is enabled. If it's not enabled, turn on this option.
  4. Select SwipePoint App:
    Scroll down to find the SwipePoint app and tap it to access settings.
  5. Set Location Permissions:
    Choose "While Using the App" or "Always" to allow the app to use GPS location.

Android

  1. Open Settings:
    From the home screen or app list, find and tap the "Settings" icon.
  2. Select Location:
    Scroll down and find "Location" or "Privacy."
  3. Enable Location Services:
    Tap "Location" and ensure it's turned on. If it's not, enable it.
  4. Find App Management:
    In the "Location" settings, find "App Permissions" or "Location Permissions" and tap it.
  5. Select SwipePoint App:
    Find the SwipePoint app in the list and tap it.
  6. Set Location Permissions:
    Choose "While Using the App" or "Always" to allow the app to use GPS location.

These steps will ensure the GPS location function works properly. For higher accuracy, some Android phones also allow you to select a higher precision mode in "Location Mode" for more accurate positioning.


Enable Bluetooth

To enable Bluetooth on your phone for SwipePoint App, follow these steps:

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open Settings:
    From the home screen, open "Settings."
  2. Select Bluetooth:
    In the settings menu, find and tap "Bluetooth."
  3. Turn On Bluetooth:
    Tap the switch to turn on Bluetooth (it should show green).
  4. Allow App to Use Bluetooth:
    In iOS 13 and above, when you first use the SwipePoint app that requires Bluetooth, the system will prompt you to grant Bluetooth permissions. Tap "Allow" to proceed. To manually manage permissions, go to "Settings" → "Privacy" → "Bluetooth" and find the SwipePoint app to ensure Bluetooth access is enabled.

Android

  1. Open Settings:
    From the home screen or app list, find and tap the "Settings" icon.
  2. Select Bluetooth:
    In the settings, find and tap "Connected Devices" or "Bluetooth" (the name may vary depending on your device).
  3. Enable Bluetooth:
    Turn on Bluetooth by tapping the switch.
  4. Allow App to Use Bluetooth:
    Most Android systems do not prompt for Bluetooth permission like iOS, but you can go to "App Management" and make sure SwipePoint has the necessary permissions for "Location" or "Bluetooth" as Bluetooth may need location permissions to function properly.

These steps will ensure that Bluetooth is enabled and the SwipePoint app can use Bluetooth functionality. If the app needs to pair with a specific Bluetooth device, you can select it from the Bluetooth settings page.


Enable Accurate Location

If you notice that the Wi-Fi is connected but the clock-in point is not found, it may be because you have disabled the accurate location setting on your phone.

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Go to "Settings" > "SwipePoint" > "Location."
  2. Enable the "Accurate Location" setting.

Android

  1. Go to "Settings" > "Apps" > "SwipePoint" > "Permissions" > "Location."
  2. Enable "Use Precise Location."

Wi-Fi Clock-in Without SSID Display

If employees are using Wi-Fi-based clock-in but the Wi-Fi SSID is not showing up even when connected, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Android

  1. Open "Settings."
  2. Tap "Apps."
  3. Tap "SwipePoint."
  4. Tap "Permissions."
  5. Tap "Location Permissions."
  6. Enable "Use Precise Location."

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open "Settings."
  2. Tap "SwipePoint."
  3. Tap "Location."
  4. Enable "Accurate Location."

Clock-in Push Notifications

When users clock in, the system will automatically send push notifications to relevant personnel. These notifications will be instantly sent to the creator, top administrators, and other administrators in the same group, so they can quickly track clock-in activities and ensure transparency and traceability.
