Punch Button
Punch Mode > Punch
Employees can clock in or out by tapping this button. The specific process is as follows:
- Tap the punch button
- Select the punch type
- Select the shift (for regular shifts)
- Select the punch location
- Tap "Start Work" or "End Work" to complete the punch
For overtime punches, shift selection is not required.
Regular Shift / Overtime
Punch Mode > Punch > Regular Shift / Overtime
Select whether you are clocking in for a regular shift or for overtime.
Send My GPS Location
Based on the punch location settings, it is determined whether employees must send their GPS location or if they have the option to choose whether to share their location.
If you cannot disable this, it means the admin has enforced GPS location sharing.

This section allows you to add any additional punch-related information.
Select Shift
Punch Mode > Punch > Regular Shift > Shift
Based on the schedule, today's available shifts will be displayed for selection.
Display Previous Day
Click "Display Previous Day" to view shifts from the previous day. This is useful for employees who work across multiple days.
Photo
Tap "Click Here to Take Photo" and follow the instructions to take a picture. The photo will be automatically uploaded to the cloud for storage.
To use this feature, the organization creator must subscribe to the Premium "Storage" plan to enable cloud space for photo uploads.
Skip
If "Skip" is available, it means the organization allows employees to bypass shift selection or that the employee has no assigned shifts.
The "Skip" feature can be disabled in Management Mode > Organization > My Organization. Once disabled, employees must select a shift to punch in.
Select Punch Location
Punch Mode > Punch > Regular Shift / Overtime > Shift > Punch Location
Select the location where you are clocking in or out.
Skip
If "Skip" is available, it means the organization allows employees to bypass selecting a punch location.
The "Skip" feature can be disabled in Management Mode > Organization > My Organization. Once disabled, employees must select a punch location to clock in.
Start Work / End Work
Regular Shift
Punch Mode > Punch > Regular Shift > Shift > Punch Location > Start Work / End Work
Tap "Start Work" to clock in for work, and tap "End Work" to clock out.
After completing the punch, you can view it in My Punch Records.
Overtime
Punch Mode > Punch > Overtime > Punch Location > Start Work / End Work
Tap "Start Work" to clock in for overtime, and tap "End Work" to clock out from overtime.
After completing the punch, you can view it in My Punch Records.
Enable GPS Location
To enable GPS on your mobile device, follow these steps:
iPhone (iOS):
- Open Settings: From the home screen, tap the "Settings" icon.
- Find Privacy: Scroll down in the settings menu and select "Privacy & Security."
- Select Location Services: Tap "Location Services" and ensure it is enabled. If not, toggle the switch to turn it on.
- Select SwipePoint App: Scroll down to find the SwipePoint app and tap it to access its settings.
- Set Location Permissions: Choose "While Using the App" or "Always" to allow the app to use your GPS location.
Android:
- Open Settings: From your home screen or app list, tap the "Settings" icon.
- Select Location: Scroll down and find "Location" or "Privacy" in the settings menu.
- Enable Location Services: Tap "Location" and ensure that the location function is enabled. If not, toggle the switch to turn it on.
- Find App Management: In the "Location" settings, find "App Permissions" or "Location Permissions" and tap it.
- Select SwipePoint App: Find the SwipePoint app in the list and tap it.
- Set Location Permissions: Choose "While Using the App" or "Always" to allow the app to use your GPS location.
These steps ensure that the GPS location function works properly. For Android devices, if higher accuracy is needed, you can access "Location Mode" to select a higher accuracy level for improved GPS precision.
Enable Bluetooth
To enable Bluetooth for the SwipePoint app on your mobile device, follow these steps:
iPhone (iOS):
- Open Settings: Tap "Settings" from the home screen.
- Select Bluetooth: Find and tap "Bluetooth" in the settings menu.
- Turn on Bluetooth: Toggle the switch next to Bluetooth to turn it on (green).
- Allow the App to Use Bluetooth: On iOS 13 and later, when you first use the SwipePoint app with Bluetooth, a prompt will appear asking for permission. Select "Allow." To manage this manually, go to "Settings" → "Privacy" → "Bluetooth" and ensure that Bluetooth access is enabled for the SwipePoint app.
Android:
- Open Settings: From your home screen or app list, tap "Settings."
- Select Bluetooth: Find "Connected Devices" or "Bluetooth" (names may vary by device) and tap it.
- Turn on Bluetooth: Toggle the Bluetooth switch to enable the function.
- Allow the App to Use Bluetooth: Most Android systems won’t prompt for specific Bluetooth permissions, but you can go to "App Management" to ensure the SwipePoint app has the necessary location or Bluetooth-related permissions since some Bluetooth features require location access.
These steps enable Bluetooth on your phone and allow the SwipePoint app to use Bluetooth. If the app needs to pair with specific Bluetooth devices, you can also select the devices in the Bluetooth settings menu.
Punch Notification
When a user punches in or out, the system will automatically send push notifications to inform relevant personnel. These notifications will be sent in real time to the creator, top managers, and other managers in the same group. This ensures that everyone can stay updated on punch activities, enhancing transparency and accountability.
