Scan NFC Tag to Clock-in

NFC-based clock-in is an advanced, efficient, accurate, and convenient attendance solution, fully supported by the SwipePoint system. Compared to GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, NFC offers higher security, lower energy consumption, and greater efficiency in clock-in systems. It is particularly suitable for organizations looking to improve attendance accuracy and reduce management complexity.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is highly precise for location-based applications in the workplace, though its range is limited. NFC typically supports short-range wireless communication, with an effective range of just a few centimeters to several centimeters, making it ideal for close-range applications like identity verification, payment systems, or access control.

In the workplace, NFC can be used to accurately pinpoint specific locations or objects, but it requires the user or device to be near the NFC tag or reader. Due to its extremely short range, NFC is nearly unaffected by environmental factors or interference from other electronic devices, making it a reliable option for scenarios requiring high accuracy.

However, NFC’s limited range makes it unsuitable for large-scale location tracking. It is more suited for point-to-point confirmation applications rather than wide-ranging indoor location coverage. Therefore, NFC is most often used for short-distance, high-precision applications in the workplace.

Enable Photo Clock-in

Once enabled, users must take a photo when clocking in as instructed. This could include taking a picture of a clock or a door number to provide proof of the location and time of the clock-in.

This feature requires a subscription to a storage plan before it can be used.

Force Recording of GPS Clock-in Location

By default, the system does not enable "Force Recording of GPS Clock-in Location." Employees can choose whether to submit their GPS location when clocking in. If you wish for all employees to be required to submit GPS coordinates when clocking in, enable "Force Recording of GPS Clock-in Location."

Click the + symbol and scan the NFC tag to add it to the list. You can add up to 10 NFC tags.

How to Use

  1. Set up NFC Transmitter: Install an NFC transmitter at the clock-in location, such as an NFC reader or other NFC-enabled devices.
  2. Employee Clock-in: Employees bring their NFC-enabled device close to the clock-in point, and the system automatically records the clock-in time and location.
  3. Data Recording: Clock-in data is instantly synced to the management database for managers to review and analyze.
