Restrict Bluetooth Range for Clock-In
Bluetooth-based clock-in is an efficient, low-energy attendance solution. By utilizing Bluetooth technology, it provides accurate attendance tracking in indoor environments, making it particularly suitable for office and mobile work settings. No dedicated clock-in machine is required, enhancing HR management efficiency.
Bluetooth tracking has distinct advantages in the workplace, especially when high precision is required. Bluetooth positioning relies on low-energy Bluetooth beacons to measure distance between devices, making it highly accurate in small areas, such as offices, warehouses, or factories. In work environments, Bluetooth's precision often surpasses GPS and Wi-Fi, as beacons can be strategically placed for precise coverage. This setup enables centimeter-level accuracy, ideal for tracking equipment, assets, or personnel. However, Bluetooth’s range is relatively small, and covering larger areas requires more beacons. Additionally, beacon placement, building structures, and interference from other Bluetooth devices may impact accuracy. While Bluetooth is more precise than GPS and Wi-Fi indoors, deployment costs and potential signal interference should be considered.
Enable Photo Clock-In
Once enabled, users must take a photo according to instructions when clocking in. Instructions can include taking a picture of a clock or a house number as proof of the location and time at the moment of clock-in.
This feature requires a subscription to the storage plan before use.
Enforce GPS Clock-In Location Recording
By default, "Enforce GPS Clock-In Location Recording" is disabled, allowing employees to choose whether to submit GPS data when clocking in. To require all employees to submit GPS coordinates during clock-in, enable this feature.
Selected Bluetooth Devices
Allow clock-ins only through approved Bluetooth devices.

Some Bluetooth devices may enter sleep mode or be turned off. Ensure the Bluetooth device is always available for connection.
Enable Bluetooth
To enable the Bluetooth feature in the Shuadian app on your phone, follow these steps:
iPhone (iOS):
- Open Settings:
Access the "Settings" from your home screen. - Select Bluetooth:
In the settings menu, find and tap "Bluetooth." - Turn On Bluetooth:
Toggle the switch to turn on Bluetooth (it should display green). - Allow App to Use Bluetooth:
For iOS 13 and above, the system will prompt you to grant Shuadian app Bluetooth access the first time it needs to use this feature. Choose "Allow." To manage permissions manually, go to "Settings" → "Privacy" → "Bluetooth," and confirm that the Shuadian app is enabled.
Android:
- Open Settings:
From the home screen or app list, find and tap the "Settings" icon. - Select Bluetooth:
In Settings, find and tap "Connected Devices" or "Bluetooth" (may vary by device). - Turn On Bluetooth:
Toggle the Bluetooth switch to ensure it is on. - Allow App to Use Bluetooth:
While most Android systems don’t show dedicated permission prompts like iOS, you can check under "App Management" to ensure Shuadian has the necessary "Location" or "Bluetooth" permissions, as some Bluetooth functions may require location access.
By following these steps, you will be able to enable Bluetooth on your phone and allow the Shuadian app to use Bluetooth functionality. If the app needs to pair with specific Bluetooth devices, you can select the relevant devices from the Bluetooth settings page.
