Shift Schedule
Here is the path for shift schedule settings:
Admin Mode > Shift Schedule
SwipePoint currently focuses on supervisor-assigned shifts, with employee pre-scheduling features to be released in the future.
If no shift schedule is set, employees can still clock in, but clock-in anomalies such as late arrivals or early departures cannot be detected.
Adding Shifts
Admin Mode > Shift Schedule > Add Shift
First, name the shift (e.g., "Day Shift" or "Night Shift") and set a color to distinguish it on the calendar. Next, choose the shift's start and end times, set the break time (including start time and break duration), and finally, select the clock-in location.
Clock-in locations can be edited at the following path:
Admin Mode > Clock-in Records & Management > Clock-in Location Settings
Setting Clock-ins During Breaks
If employees are required to clock in during breaks, create two shifts. For example, if the work hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, you will need to create two shifts:
- First shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Second shift: 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Employees will clock in at the following times:
- 9:00 AM to start work
- 12:00 PM to end work
- 1:00 PM to start work
- 6:00 PM to end work
Shifts / Templates
Admin Mode > Shift Schedule > Shifts / Templates
This section lists the added shifts. You can click to view, edit, or delete any shift.
Personal Shift Schedule / Shift Assignment
Admin Mode > Shift Schedule > Personal Shift Schedule / Shift Assignment
After selecting an employee, you can assign shifts by applying the preset shifts to specific dates. Multiple shifts can be assigned in one day, and the times can overlap. To delete a shift on a given day, simply click on the shift again.
Overlapping Shifts
When two or more shifts overlap, employees can choose the shift that best suits them. For example, if two shifts have different clock-in locations, one at the Taipei headquarters and the other at the Taoyuan branch, and the employee frequently moves between these locations, they can choose accordingly. Alternatively, if the clock-in methods differ (e.g., Wi-Fi in one location and NFC in another), employees can choose the most convenient clock-in method.
Quick Shift Assignment
Admin Mode > Shift Schedule > Quick Shift Assignment
"Quick Shift Assignment" is ideal for organizations with fixed weekly schedules. Before using, set up the shifts. Simply select a shift, set the start and end dates, choose the regular workdays, and decide if work will be scheduled on national holidays and make-up workdays. Finally, apply the schedule to selected employees for a quick shift assignment.
Workforce Table
Admin Mode > Shift Schedule > Workforce Table
The workforce table displays the staffing schedule, showing the composition of staff on duty each day on the calendar.
Allow Clock-in Without Selecting Shift
Admin Mode > Organization > My Organization > Allow Clock-in Without Selecting Shift
The "Allow Clock-in Without Selecting Shift" option can be configured in Admin Mode. When enabled, employees can choose the "Skip" option when clocking in, allowing them to clock in without selecting a shift. If disabled, employees must select a shift before clocking in.
- Enabled: Employees can click "Skip" when clocking in and do not need to select a shift.
- Disabled: Employees must select a shift in order to complete the clock-in process.
